Jalen Brunson scored 43 points, becoming the fourth player in NBA history with four straight 40-point games in the postseason and the New York Knicks rallied to a 121-117 victory over the Indiana Pacers in Game 1 of their Eastern Conference semifinal series on Tuesday night.
The Knicks trailed by 11 points with less than five minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, but Brunson scored 11 points in a 13-0 run to put New York ahead.
Brunson finished the game 16-of-29 from the field, including 5-of-10 from three-point range. He also had seven rebounds and five assists.
The Knicks were led by Brunson, but they also got solid contributions from RJ Barrett (22 points), Julius Randle (21 points), and Mitchell Robinson (17 points, 11 rebounds).
The Pacers were led by Tyrese Haliburton (29 points), Buddy Hield (24 points), and Myles Turner (22 points).
