2024 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs: Florida Panthers vs. Edmonton Oilers
The National Hockey League today announced the schedule for the 2024 Stanley Cup Final between the Florida Panthers and the Edmonton Oilers.
The series will begin on Wednesday, May 29 at Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, with Game 2 scheduled for Friday, May 31. The series will then shift to FLA Live Arena in Sunrise, Florida, for Games 3 and 4 on Monday, June 3 and Wednesday, June 5. If necessary, the series will return to Edmonton for Game 5 on Friday, June 7, and Game 6 on Sunday, June 9. A potential Game 7 would be held in Sunrise on Tuesday, June 11.
The Panthers are making their first appearance in the Stanley Cup Final since 1996, while the Oilers are making their first appearance since 2006. Both teams have been impressive in the playoffs, with the Panthers sweeping the Boston Bruins in the second round and the Oilers defeating the Colorado Avalanche in the Western Conference Final.
The series is expected to be a close one, with both teams having a number of talented players. The Panthers are led by Aleksander Barkov, Jonathan Huberdeau, and Carter Verhaeghe, while the Oilers are led by Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl, and Evan Bouchard.
