Pakistan post 182 but Ireland chase down the target with ease
Ireland have beaten Pakistan for the first time in a Twenty20 International, with a comfortable seven-wicket victory in Dublin.
Pakistan posted a competitive 182-6, with Babar Azam (50) and Iftikhar Ahmed (38 off 15 balls) leading the way.
However, Ireland's openers Paul Stirling (30) and Andy Balbirnie (77) put on a 91-run partnership to set the platform for victory.
Balbirnie was particularly impressive, hitting 10 fours and two sixes in his 50-ball innings.
Kevin O'Brien (29 not out) and George Dockrell (24 not out) then saw Ireland home with an unbroken 53-run stand.
The win is a significant one for Ireland, who are now ranked 13th in the ICC T20I rankings.
