Hopes High as Bayern Take on AS Roma
FC Bayern Women are set to make their debut in the UEFA Women's Champions League this season, with their first match taking place on Thursday, September 15th. The German champions will host AS Roma at the Allianz Arena in Munich, looking to start their European campaign with a victory.
Bayern have been in impressive form in the Google Pixel Women's Bundesliga, winning their first two matches of the season. They will be confident of carrying that form into Europe, where they will be looking to reach the latter stages of the competition for the first time.
AS Roma will be no easy opponents, however. The Italian side finished second in Serie A last season and have a number of experienced players in their squad. They will be looking to cause an upset in Munich and will be hoping to take advantage of any slip-ups from Bayern.
