Family Matters: The Bloodline Misses SmackDown for Afa's Funeral

The Anoa'i Family Gathers to Mourn the Loss of a Legend

The Bloodline was absent from Friday Night SmackDown due to the passing of Afa Anoa'i, the patriarch of the legendary wrestling family.

The Anoa'i family is one of the most respected and accomplished in the history of professional wrestling. Afa, along with his brother Sika, formed the Wild Samoans tag team and captured the WWF World Tag Team Championships three times. He was also a successful singles wrestler, winning the WWF Intercontinental Championship once.

Afa passed away on Thursday, April 14 at the age of 82. The cause of death has not been released. The Bloodline, which includes Roman Reigns, The Usos, and Paul Heyman, was scheduled to appear on SmackDown but canceled their appearance to attend Afa's funeral.
